Center Directorship
The CEFRC is directed by Chung K. Law, the Robert H. Goddard Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. His research interests cover various physical and chemical aspects of fundamental combustion phenomena, with applications to propulsion, energy, fuels, and the environment. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Co-director of the center is Emily A Carter, Gerhard R. Andlinger Professor in Energy and the Environment and Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Applied and Computational Mathematics at Princeton University. She is an eminent theoretical physical chemist, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
International Advisory Committee
Oversight of the Center is provided by a high-level International Advisory Committee, consisting of thirteen members with diverse technical expertise and background to ensure adequate coverage of the various aspects of the Center’s research program. Their role is to critique and provide guidance to the research program, and also to provide advice to the sponsoring agency. The Chair of the committee is Dr. Charles K. Westbrook, of the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. The committee members are:
