This is a competitive postdoctoral fellowship program for collaborative research between two or more Principal Investigators in the Combustion Energy Frontier Research Center. For a more complete description see the flyer.
Instructions to Applicants:
The first step is to identify one or more of the Center's Principal Investigators (PIs) as potential sponsor(s).
The applicant should directly contact the potential co-sponsors. The applicant can propose a research project or ask the potential co-sponsors for suggestions. Some of the PIs have posted proposed research projects.
The potential co-sponsors will want to see the applicant's c.v. and publication list from the very beginning, and they will want to contact some references. If things look promising, they may also invite the applicant to visit their research sites for more extensive discussions.
After the applicant and potential co-sponsors agree that they want to work together on a specific research project, it is time to prepare the formal Fellowship application and submit it to the Center. The applicant should submit:
- A curriculum vita
- Maximum of three representative publications
- A 1-2 page description of the proposed research project
He/she should also arrange to have the following material directly sent to the Center:
- Two recommendation letters
- A letter of endorsement from the co-sponsors, indicating the novelty and cross-disciplinary nature of the work; what is to be expected; and why the candidate is selected.
All formal application materials should be submitted via: https://jobs.princeton.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/position/JobDetails_css.jsp?postingId=194295
